Shevet Sufa is one of 24 chapters operating in North America as part of the Israeli youth movement “Tzofim” (The Israeli Scouts). The chapter is part of the Tzabar Delegation – the delegation of the Israeli Scouts in North America (www.israelscouts.org).Shevet Sufa currently has over 40 participants, from 2nd to 12th grade, who attend educational programming regularly on Sundays. The activities are conducted in Hebrew and led by counselors—graduates of the official leadership training course—who are members of the senior age group.
We are thrilled to announce our participation in this year's President's Volunteer Service Award Program!

What are the Tzofim?
The Tzofim (Israeli Scouts) is a secular and apolitical youth movement, open to anyone who feels a connection to Israel in their heart. Activities are conducted in Hebrew and infused with Israeli spirit, bringing together children, teens, and families from the local Israeli community. The shevet (chapter) serves as a place for connection and community through experiential learning centered around themes such as democracy, equality, leadership, Jewish tradition, guidance and instruction, identity development, practical scouting, love of Israel, and preservation of the Hebrew language.Currently, the Tzabar Delegation includes around 24 chapters across North America, from Toronto, Canada to San Diego, California, with more than 4,000 participants of all ages.

The Tzabar delegation
The Tzabar Delegation is a Zionist youth movement serving children and teens from the Israeli community across North America. It provides meaningful and experiential educational frameworks that strengthen connection to Israel, foster a strong Jewish-Israeli identity, and build ties within the local community.
Activities are led by a combination of dedicated volunteers and professionals, all committed to the values of the Israeli Scouts Movement in Israel. The delegation promotes both personal and communal identity, rooted in the rich diversity of Jewish heritage and contemporary Israeli culture. It also works to bridge the Israeli and Jewish communities in North America and encourages teens to take on meaningful roles in society—through community involvement, volunteering, a year of service in Israel, and significant service in the IDF in roles that match their unique strengths and talents.
